Welcome to The Marsh Series. In this series of photos, the primary subject of focus is Marsh in Bald Head Island, North Carolina. As I continued to edit, the photos began to get progressively more abstract. Nature helped to make things pretty abstract to start — I just played around with the colors. All of the photos were taken with a DJI Mavic Pro. In this first photo, The Purple Marshes of Paint, the marshes blend in the mind into flowing purple paint on an island canvas.
Nature now looks abstract. The water like a spilled can of paint on a canvas of the marshes of Bald Head Island, NC.
At this point in the series I’ve started to step up the color experimentation from the original photo’s colors to try and create something a little more abstract out of what nature has provided. Though nature is pretty abstract already!
Trees sprinkled Bald Head Island’s long-spanning marshes. Nature is art.
The white, dead trees stand out in a marsh of red. New and old live together in a painting by nature.
